Medium: Hand carved on shina wood 8.5 x 8 printed with water based ink on Arches fine art paper 140lb (300gsm). Hand embellished with the finest watercolors.  Each one is unique and original!

Beach rose is inspired by infinite trips to the beach where I grew up.  The beah rose is one of my all time favorite smells!  I always love to pick one as a momento of my visits to the beach - whether it is close to my home or along the NE beaches I frequented while living in Vermont.
 
Rugosa Rose, also known as the Sea Rose, Beach Rose or Salt-Spray Rose.
 
It bears fruit, called rose hips which lasts through the summer and winter months.  Rose hips are very good for you, hight in vitamin C.  These lovely flowers help stabalize beaches and dunes by retaining sand in root clusters.  Small animals and birds use the beach rose shrub as nesting sites.
