Before the air becomes too cold and wind too fast, we gather at Flora and Fauna on November 15, 2018 at 7:30pm to 9:00pm. I have the honor to co-host a beautiful gathering with Marianna Coppola (a super talented floral designer from beautiful Naples, Italy!)

Our vision for this retreat (and future retreats) is to create an environment that is restful, inspiring - full of nature, art, peace and time to rejuvenate. Something magical and transformative happens when you allow your mind a moment of space to create and the freedom to try something new!

With this goal in mind, we spend time in a place of inspiration, learning new artistic design and painting skills. We will teach a workshop of floral arranging with a natural and modern/contemporary aesthetic.

Lauren Johnson will offer instruction in watercolor painting: merging art and nature with organic gestural paintings. This will be something where you can get comfortable with basic brushes and mixing of color or if you are an expert, you can paint in abstract or any method you feel comfortable in. Marianna will instruct on basics of floral design.

You will be able to take home your arrangement and painting. You will learn something new and create something of beauty while meeting new people in the neighborhood.

The experience of time and space to create will leave you feeling light, inspired and encouraged to continue using your inspiration to create!
